The mini turns electric
Five hundred beautiful little things are set to be unleashed in the US - and it's not even X-Factor audition time.
We always prefered our cars without a conscience - hard, strong and ready to protect us from the mean city streets until along came the new boy, a clean, sharing, caring type, and we have to admit we're hooked.
The new Mini E will soon be hitting the streets of the US with its answer to carbon-free driving (zero carbon emissions) in all encased in the cute body we know and love. This green must-have is powered by a 100 % electric motor, has seamless acceleration to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 8.5 seconds (we assume this is good - we can't reach our mechanic) and a top speed of 152 km/h (95 mph).
Up to 500 test drivers in the US (Southern California, New York City and New Jersey) are currently being invited to take the Mini E for a spin.
