The Playboy bunnies?

Posted Feb 12, 2009

We did a double-take quite literally when we saw Dolce & Gabbana in Playboy Italy's launch advertising. Our favourite design duo appear to have their very own doppelgangers.

If you want to guarantee iconic status - apart from having your own stalker, the other must is a celebrity look-a-like.

Today we found Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana's in the new Playboy advertising. Despite the fact it's not actually them in the advertising - boys we'd like to be the first to congratulate you. You have officially achieved ICON STATUS!

Without the need for words - the design duo, or rather the lookalikes are hitting Italian billboards all over Italy with Playboy's playful tongue in cheek advertising to officially launch Playboy's brand new Italian version.

The original Playboy was founded by Hugh Hefner in 1953 - and aside from the obvious content has published work from such telented authors as John Updike, Tom Clancy, Saul Bellow, Stanley Elkin, and Margaret Atwood alongside interviews with the likes of Bob Dylan, Cindy Crawford, Jeff Besos, Kevin Spacey, and Bill Gates.
