Stick the Christmas tree

Posted Nov 19, 2008

Fake Christmas – forget pine needles, stick to partying and buy an adhesive Christmas tree instead.

Around this time of year we start dreaming of a log fire, piles of cashmere and cups of hot mulled wine set amidst a twinkling Christmas tree. The party season soon puts a stop to this nonsense as we focus our attention on our wardrobes/are unable to move due to dance-floor injuries. As the need for an end-of-year detox becomes more and more apparent, and a long haul flight to the sun is hastily booked, traditional Christmas filled dreams tend to be put on the back burner for yet another year.

Despite the Caribbean waiting, there is nothing worse however than coming home to an un-festive apartment in the run up to Christmas. Hurrah, then for these life-size, self-adhesive vinyl trees that can be applied directly to walls by either removing the paper back or simply pinning it – perfect for the space-challenged apartment dweller. No more watering a dead tree, no fire hazard, no hoovering up pine needles.

Created by artists Fred Tomaselli, Phoebe Washburn, and Markus Linnenbrink, for the site Artware Editions each limited edition tree comes in a tube that can be reused year after year for easy storage and shipping.

Email Artware Editions your order and they'll take care of the rest. info@artwareeditions.com
