The two keywords in the sailing world this summer are green and design. The latest super yachts are characterized by a strong focus on Eco-friendly issues whereas the more compact ones have a superb attention to design. For a shipshape look, head this way.

CODE-X-YACHT is a hybrid catamaran providing a synthesis of solar technology and Formula 1 environmentally friendly engines, that store power in on-board lithium ion batteries, with a flexible solar hybrid propulsion system. The two-bed yacht contains a canopy that tilts up to the rear swim deck, a Kevlar/carbon fiber hull, and a hot tub.

Soliloquy is a rigid-wing yacht, powered by solar, wind and hybrid marine power technologies. A design brief was reached to ensure that renewable energies, along with eco-friendly materials and construction techniques, would confirm that this yacht will become one of the most ‘Green’ of luxury yachts. This will comply with, and aims to excel in various industry requirements, including the new Green Star + certification from RINA in Italy.

OCULUS is a long distance cruising yacht capable of speeds upwards of 25 knots, desined in the shape of a large oceanic fish. The interior features of Oculus focus on a 12 foot high ceiling in the main salon, a cylindrical double height dining room, central stair and elevator tube, and seemingly anatomical ceiling and floor lighting extensions giving definition to the seating areas.

INFINITAS is designed to accommodate 12 guests and crew. The design’s main inspiration comes from the symbol for infinity which has been abstractly expressed within the yacht’s elevation. The two major features of the yacht asserted by this closed loop infinity symbol are achieved by carving out stern and mid section elliptical deck constructs.
