Rest easy, no creepy clowns

Posted Jan 26, 2010

Unfortunately, just like a circus, this exhibition will come and soon leave town; the Design Circus, currently in Madrid, showcases beautiful modern designs in a backdrop that allows the exhibition not to take itself too seriously. Rest assured, no creepy clowns will be present!

By definition, a circus is- "a frenetic disorganized (and often comic) disturbance suggestive of a circus or carnival". The Design Circus by Culdesac, is exactly that. The exhibition is a playful display of "los prodoctos mas fascinantes del Mundo" (the most fascinating products of the world). This circus set up its tent at the Circulo de Bellas Artes in Madrid a few days ago and shall keep entertaining children and adults alike until February 7th.

Los Objectos Chispa - The Objects that Spark

Like a circus, each room having its main attraction or freak show, the exhibition is made up of rooms with various titles such as "Los Objectos Chispa" (The Objects that Spark) and "Las Equilibristas" (The Acrobats). Each design item is cleverly placed in such a way that goes hand-in-hand with the room that its in. The exhibition truly is like a pop- up story book come to life for the enjoyment of its visitors. The Design Circus has made appreciating modern design a spectator sport.
