This Christmas, the SHOWstudio SHOP has curated a selection of festive treats from a trio of talents currently leading the fashion and photography worlds.
Dress, Gareth Pugh, 2009
From 20 - 24 Nov, Gareth Pugh took up residency in the LiveStudio above SHOWstudio SHOP to create a one-off dress, with every cut, stitch and slash streamed live on SHOWstudio.com. A product of three laboured days, the garment embodies Gareth's distinctive style, yet is also entirely unique due to the very particular - and very public - nature in which it was conceived.
Helmet, Gareth Pugh, 2009
This 'Double-Mohican' headpiece, hand-crafted by Gareth Pugh himself, was a central feature of the film installation shown earlier this year as part of New York Fashion Week, and also featured in his S/S 2010 collection. The installation was designed to express the inspirations behind the S/S 2010 collection Pugh presented in Paris this October - the item is not only a unique collector's piece but a vital document of the inspiration behind the work of this cutting-edge and much-fêted British design talent.
Tiger, Nick Knight 2009
Created for Spring/Summer 2010 Alexander McQueen's Puma
campaign Crane Vs. Tiger, photographed by Nick Knight. The object is actually a taxidermied Belgian tiger specimen on painted wooden based and can be yours for a cool £50,000.
