Ms Muse

Posted May 4, 2009

If you've ever read an interview with an A-lister like George Clooney and wondered who gets to do a job like this and why, it's time to follow L.A based writer Ms Muse and her blog.

L.A. Times columnist Tina Daunt's is a writer and celebrity columnist for the Los Angeles Times, Ms Muse is her personal style blog reflecting life in the fast journalism lane.

Perhaps our favourite post from her blog is the one where she seeks out an interview with the actor George Actor. Ms Muse tells her readers,

"It took me a year to get an interview with George Clooney. It was a task that required calling Clooney's publicist Stan Rosenfield everyday. (Well, almost everyday.) We had lovely lunches at places like Kraft and Campanille. I even came up with a nickname for Stan. Stan the Velvet Rope Man. He's the guy you see on TV keeping crazed fans and reporters away from the handsome actor.

Honestly, I didn't hold out much hope for reaching Clooney. Then one afternoon, while I was driving my mom home from the doctor, my cellphone rang. It was an 818 number I didn't recognize. I answered. The voice said: "Hello, Tina?" Me: "Yes." The voice: "It's George Clooney.

I almost crashed into a tree. (Joking)."

Our favouite confession from her blog?

"I love George, but dare I say that Brad was cutier??? Hah."

Featured in our main image above from the Ms Muse blog is George himself wearing Michael Stipe's glasses.
