Moy concept cars: Invent your own wheels
Moy concept car, designed by Elvis Tomljenovic (tomljenovic.carbonmade.com), was awarded first prize at the 2009 Auto(r) Automotive Design Conference contest. Offering a glimpse at the future of car design - coming soon to a car forecourt near you are cars with changeable bodies to suit your mood. Vehicles designed at home whose designs can be shared even when on the on the move with a type of Bluetooth system.
"MOY concept is made for generation who uses technology as a means to express themselves and communicate with others,” says Tomljenovic, a Zagreb School of Design student who is currently looking for sponsors to continue his education path in car design.

Moy is not only a gimmick. Courtesy of its technology – a body produced from liquid crystals, LED diodes and electro chromic films, future owners will be able to activate animation transforming the vehicle into a new advertising billboard hybrid. In the future roadside billboards will be extinct, as cinemas & ads quite literally go on the road. And of course - the future is green: Moy is powered by batteries charging electric motors set in wheels and controlled by drive-by-wire technology.

In 1998 Nokia launched its “5110”. It was the first phone with a replaceable faceplate, allowing users to customize it and then available in red, then blue, and green. Before the accessibility of the Internet, before reality shows and Facebook, the concept appeared to be the definitive future.
Fast forward eleven years later and today's new concept car takes the future to a brand new level. Few can imagine how the future will really be - with of course the exceptions being Jules Verne, Isaac Asimov, Philip K. Dick, but for the rest of us, sit down and wait to be thrilled.
