Make overnight flights an exercise in intelligence rather than boredom as we find a glow in the dark chess set

In-flight entertainment is not always exactly, well entertaining. After we've caught up with world affairs, and Hollywood gossip, there always seems to be a couple of hours, when time does anything but fly.

For our long-haul Christmas trip we intend to pack Glo Chess - a stylish, travel-friendly case, that opens to reveal a miniature chess board designed with a special technology "Conductive V30 Velrco" that illuminates each chess piece upon contact.

In case of turbulence, under each side of the board, a storage compartment holds the player’s pieces, and as pieces are removed from the game, players can deposit them in a flexible catch conveniently located on each side of the board. Eliminating the need for cords, the game is battery-operated and activates only as soon as the case is opened, when conductive material on each side of the case’s spine make contact.
