In-flight tweeting has hit the world as travel editors gave BA’s debut business class service from London to New York a real-time travel review. Lufthansa has also launched My SkyStatus, automatically updating your status whilst flying.

Perhaps harking back to a time when air-travel still meant glamour and excitement and people actually wanted to recount their travel experiences rather than forget about them, Lufthansa, (which is set to offer in-flight wi-fi thanks to a new deal with Panasonic), has launched its My Sky Status this month.

Users simply need to enter the details of their flight and their Twitter or Facebook details and the service automatically updates the user's status whilst en route. The service also works for airlines other than Lufthansa.
