First-class hospitality

Posted Mar 1, 2010

Could Hotel Costa Verde be the by-product of a hotel owner's aerial inspiration and a fanatical love for cult series,“Lost”. Under normal circumstances, the image of a plane stuck in a tree would spark concern, but Costa Verde's salvaged Boeing intrigues us to want to know more as to how we can we check into this first-class in experience.

If seclusion is what you seek, then it doesn't get better than the Costa Verde Hotel's executive Boeing 727 fuselage suite. The 727 suite sits atop of a 50-foot pedestal in a National Park in Costa Verde, providing guests with essentially a bird's eye view of the ocean and neighbouring jungle.

When constructing the 727 fuselage suite, the Costa Verde Hotel's main priority was to maintain authenticity, which is why they used a vintage 1965 Boeing 727 airframe from its cockpit to tail. The suite itself, features two bedrooms: two private bathrooms, ocean-view terrace, private walkway that leads to a river rock, spiral staircase, kitchenette, dining area and a lush garden. To spend a night in the Boeing suite truly adds a whole new spin to the mile-high club.
