Dr.Martens or Timberlands? Stephen Sprouse convinces me

So there we were, an everyday afternoon checking the fashion blogs, reading yet another "news update" about Louis Vuitton's tribute collection to the 80’s artist Stephen Sprouse, when we stumbled upon the ample bosom of the Fat Fashion Assistant’s blog.
There, in her lovely rounded space we were given a Stephen Sprouse flashback (we enjoyed it) to the 2003 Dr Marten's special project. Back then, the iconic British company asked 69 (saucy) creatives to design their own personal version of these glorious boots. Now, who should have been amongst this hip rabble but none other than Mr. Stephen Sprouse - along with fashion's finest including Vivienne Westwood, Jimmy Choo, and Paul Smith.
And so it was, our minds racing into gear: why do so many guys now (especially the very young ones and those that love to look like them) opt for Timberland boots when they could instead be wearing Dr Martens? We're convinced Mr. Sprouse would agree with us.
