Bubbletecture

Posted May 18, 2009

Japanese architecture Endo Shuhei appears to like curves - in the building sense of course. As fans of living in our own little bubble, Swide takes a look at some of his recent projects and decides what to commission for our own office space.

"BUBBLETECTURE"

One of Shuhei's iconic pieces is pictured in our main image above. The images showcase a house in Sakai City, Japan, constructed from steel over two stories.

"ROOFECTURE"

A two-story apartment in Osaka, Japan constructed from steel.

"SKINTECTURE"

Tatsuno-City, Japan. A steel laboratory over two steels and contructed form steel is given a surprisingly soft exterior.

"ROOFECTURE"

A house in Kobe-City, fits literally into the hillside overlooking a railway station. Constructed from steel and totalling 150metres squared, the house is proof size isn't always everything.

"ROOFTECTURE"

A shop in Otsu City is given a new retail lease of life from steel and a unique roof.
