Blow Car?

Posted Aug 27, 2010

Next time someone plays it cool by folding his bike prior to entering a place, you can say well let me blow up my car, I just need to take it out of my pocket. The future is almost here.

Blow Car: you can blow your own car. You gotta love linguistics: so many meanings to the word blow. At least this is what happens when you know nothing about mechanics or cars, and find your way through words. Is this car going to “blow” (slang for “suck”, nil, not work)? Will it “blow up” (watch out here: meaning it can explode)? Blow away (it will never happen)? Blow over (die down, not become the huge success we are anticipating)? I guess we will have to wait to get it right: for now it’s just the Blow Car, a promise, a genius idea: first of all because its cost is pretty small (between 11,000 and 15,500 euros),

it’s ecological if you want it to be because of the fact that its weight is reduced, and it’s fashionable. The last adjective is the one that really caught our eye: the car frame will be like an airbag and use NASA technology which will allow us to change it as we desire (colour, materials). The prototype will be ready in October, but the fashion system is already engaged in designing an appropriate “wardrobe” for this new experiment. Who by? The renowned architect Dario di Camillo who after spending most of his career at Fiat decided to open his own group The Concept Inn in Abruzzo. Who will produce it? When will we be able to buy one? Stay tuned: the future is almost here. Really blows you away, doesn’t it?
