Bespoke travel heads to the lost world

We never say no to a weekend in Ibiza, a week in St Tropez or a trip to Mykonos but after all several yachts trips this summer we are trying to find our inner peace and a little more adventure. The sun is setting on the Mediterranean and so it's off to Black Tomato – a bespoke travel company with a quirky twist, to figure out where to go next.
With sections that include "intrepid", "escape", "adventure", "action" and "hangout times", the site is super handy for figuring out exactly what one wants/needs/desires from a trip. We settled for an "intrepid" adventure, "action" sounded too scary, and after a month on the beach we fell too naughty to click on "hangout time".
Spoilt for choice we hovered over, "A Spiritual Awakening in Bhutan", "A Secret Safari by Horseback in Kenya", "A Desert Pilgrimage to Petra", before settling on what we consider perfect, "The Lost World, Venezuela" (just because it sounded a bit like Jurassic Park).
The site recommends when to go; in this case the trip works all year round and plans a suggested itinerary along with taking the hassle away from booking flights, hotels and all that other nonsense that usually ends in tears.
This particular trip, heads for the south of Venezuela, close to the Brazilian border, an area named "The Lost World" by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, and consisting of 18,000 square kilometres of pristine, protected rainforest. It’s an epic journey through one of the world’s last great wildernesses.
As the site explains, “While other holidaymakers will have spent their precious time jostling for space on packed beaches and exploring only as far as the buffet table, you’ll have navigated prehistoric valleys and seen unearthly vistas untouched by man, before retiring to miles of flawless strand on your own deserted island”.
We’ve booked and already planning our (Harrison Ford) outfits.
