Ego and Bentley launch a pricey little number

If you find yourself sending articles from a Japanese bullet train, compiling spreadsheets from a first class lounge in Hong Kong or skyping from a Manhattan hotel lounge, then it's important not to spoil the moment with a sad looking laptop (or thoughts of the economy).

Try replacing black plastic with The Ego Bentley named after its namesake, the Bentley car. The laptop has been produced in a limited run of 250 by Ego Lifestyle who have a reputation for the production of luxury laptops with a personalized finish. Each model is handcrafted with a silver handle that resembles a Bentley door.

In terms of hardware, the laptop comes complete with Microsoft Vista, a 64 bit processor, 12 direct access keys, a 160GB hard drive and is powered by 2GB of RAM and a Mobile AMD TurionTM 64 processor. It has also has a front loading DVD±RW player, webcam and will be a guaranteed talking point should your meeting pose awkward silences.

The model is expected to hit the market in summer 2009 and will retail for 14,549 EUR ($19,943 US).
