This is French cuisine with a bittersweet aftertaste: Chanterelle, a NYC restaurant at the top of its game for no less than 30 years has recently experienced a sad closure; in celebration of three decades of happy diners it is auctioning some its famous menu covers designed by leading contemporary artists.
