Fine Dining Lovers: define Fine
It all started with my really good friend and amazing writer X (Not sure I can reveal her name) "lets exchange" editorial favors e-mail. Many editors know that when you are in need of a good story you can rely on your editor friends. This time my editor friend needed my face and a quote: what makes a fine dining experience + my face. (that I shall not reveal here).
Fast forward two weeks and my editor in chief sends me an e-mail: we should cover this new website fine dining lovers. My reply: my face is on it.
I am on the hook. Who better than I could write this story? So I contact my editor friend who is now in San Francisco over Skype: anything, anything to tell me?
Connection lost, Skype and technology are not being as friendly as my lovely human friends. Therefore I have to resort to my own, yet short-lived experience, with this new website.
I am on the phone and another friend tells me, oh yes, a friend of mine has heard about it, it's like the new Nowness of Food.
I quite don't recall having the same impression so I go back online. Sorry guys, I don't think it's like nowness, for one thing there is content and plus there is a community.
The point is to have one story a day which may lead you to comparisons. However, the website is as sparkling as its sponsors: S. Pellegrino and Acqua Panna.
What are you in for if you decide to read fine dining lovers? Well, for one thing you have to like food. Sorry, LOVE. Or make love to food since you are a LOVER. I assume you also have to like fine food. So editorials on quality products are key. You also have to like to dine. To be fully prepared for a fine dining experience you must learn where the goods are so to speak. Tips, chefs, restaurants, recipes, stories. On the hunt for the most exquisite (please note I didn't say exclusive) dining experience.
So what do you consider a fine dining experience? A green tomato with grilled cheese by the train station, a picnic with friends, a vintage cognac, what would be yours.
Start sharing.
