In the heart of a Baobab tree, in the middle of South Africa, ordering a pint is as simple as saying “hello”.

The Big Baobab Pub on the Sundland FarmNot only is the place original but also wide, try to picture it: it has its own cellar and it takes 40 adults with outstretched arms to encircle it. The bar is hollowed into the 155ft wide trunk on the van Heerden couple’s farm. The Big Baobab Pub on the Sundland FarmThey decided to transform the tree into a pub soon after they acquired the Sundland farm. If the pub has everything a classic British pub features, it has nevertheless kept the historical signs of the three’s previous life which explains that more than 7,000 people come to visit the Big Baobab each year to drink and discover the remains of some Bushmen and Dutch pioneers found by the van Heerdens.The Big Baobab Pub on the Sundland Farm
Needless to say that the location and its history add a lot to the beer that becomes a precious elixir.
