When Scandinavia meets Spain and Portugal

Posted Apr 26, 2010

Nuno Mendes, the internationally well- known chef has open earlier this month a London culinary spot Viajante to be followed by the opening of Town Hall in May.

Inspired by his travel, his research of the best and unique ingredients, Nuno offers us an explosive fusion menu that mixes specialities from around the world. The simple meet the extravagant with innovative dishes such as smoked aubergine, potato and soymilk, uni and truffle. Viajante pioneering tables, is not a surprise knowing that Nuno Mendes is behind the concept.

His past trainings and experience have certainly opened his taste and eyes to a world of possibilities. With just 40 seats, this intimate venue is for food connoisseurs or curious amateurs. Enjoy a sample six to twelve-course spreads of eatable work of art or make it simple and go for a set lunch while being entertained by Nuno Mendes himself and his chefs on duty.

Thanks to Nuno, we do not need to rely on an airplane to escape a daily routine, if you happen to be in London, just stay and indulge in a delish’ feast that will take you around the world…

Viajante, Patriot Square, entrance on Cambridge Heath Road, E2 9NF (+44 (0) 20 7871 0461 or viajante.co.uk).
