The bombardino
With the ski season/party season/Christmas approaching, our Italian friends explained a little trick that ensures they still whizz back to the slopes despite having consumed several plates of pasta.
The secret, dear readers is Bombardino - a drink popular in ski resorts around Italy. The liqueur consists of Advocaat or eggnog, whiskey, and its pièce de résistance, espresso and the reason for its rather substantial energy boost. Referring to Bombardino's hot temperature and high alcohol content, the name translates into English as "the bomb".
