In the name of bread

Posted Dec 4, 2008

Milanese institution Princi has just opened an outpost in London. Could this be the one place that stays open later than 11pm in London we ask? Based on its Italian branches, this chic bread shop offers more than the usual ciabatta...

We're all aware of the Italian's passion for food - and so it follows that a late night jaunt to a kebab shop post-clubbing is not usually on their itinerary. Instead the Milanese have Princi - a chic spot that offers fresh bread (wholemeal, organic, made from stone ground floor), focaccias, cakes, coffee and cappucinos twenty-four hours a day, including Sundays.

Next stop for Princi is London. Their new store has recently opened in London's Soho and is open from Monday - Saturday from 10.00am - midnight and on Sunday from 11am-11pm.

It's debatable whether jam sandwiches will be added to their repertoire.
