A donut will save us

Posted Apr 23, 2009

The story of ‘Holey Donuts’ could well become a screenplay. New York in the 1960s; one of the first typical American donut franchisees and Frank Dilullo, the leading man who goes on to spend his childhood in the back of the donut shop.

Dreaming of following in father's footsteps until one day, he cooked a donut without using a fryer and started a revolution.

Dilullo had perfected the art of cooking the perfect doughnut. He sent samples to a FDA approved lab that discovered his donut contains less than 3 grams of fat. The dream of every American-breakfast lover becomes a scary reality. The calorific evil donut becomes a light and healthy dietary guardian angel.

The story continues like every good film plot: Frank works with perseverance ensuring each holey donut is prepared using his unique cooking process and delivered (commercial break…orders can be taken his website) in a special hand-freezing package that preserve the donuts quality and the taste.

Refreshingly enough, the team at ‘Holey Donuts’, don’t wish to become a low-level mass product but rather to express a concept, that of following the American dream. For this reason, ‘Holey Donuts’ is synonymous with quality and hopes by literally word of mouth to become the VIP’s donut of choice.

Flavours are classical yet iconic and also include fruit tastes such as pink velvet strawberry, caramel apples, banana, raspberry and coconut cream. Could a donut a day help keep the doctor away?
