Il Panettone Dolce & Gabbana
And it is the latter, which somehow I keep close to the heart; mainly because of the visual excitement it gives me in its three-dimensionality, textures and colours. And of course I love to wear beautiful clothes. The incredible spread of fashion is very inspiring to me because it is not just about creating beautiful and glamorous garments, but the whole creative structure which is so much a part of the process; interior design, motion graphics, packaging design, music and food. It is a multi-disciplinary creative industry, which Dolce & Gabbana are truly leaders of.
A fabulous creative duo that I have loved through the years. When I moved to London, more than ten years ago, I was mesmerised by their collections in the flagship shops, what they contained, the stylish, naughty, slender mannequins covered in the season's latest pieces. But it was never just the clothes. The darkness and glossiness of their modern shop, smooth spaces full of the ultimate in window merchandising. As someone whose passions are food and fashion, I have always wondered how would food would look and taste if it was designed by Dolce&Gabbana.
Stunning,
seductive, utterly delicious. And because it is Christmas, I have decided to
come up with a gift. A Dolce&Gabbana “Panettone” which I had fun baking and
designing the packaging for. It represents Italian Christmas tradition, and like
everything D&G do is sexy, tempting, a little bit naughty but always
fabulous. Buon Natale everyone!
