Younger by the cup

Posted Jan 13, 2010

The superfoods are getting a makeover! Overpriced berries are the thing of yesterday, the latest trend is collagen in a cup. Introducing a whole new kind of coffee break.

Oh the fate of the working woman! A life spent working and reheating yesterday's takeaway, often in skin-unfriendly polluted environments...Many simply do not find the time to slap on the moisturiser and so what better than sip it instead? The it-way to take your coffee is black, no sugar with a dash of collagen!

Maybe George Clooney stopped selling so well after he got serious with his much younger Italian; maybe that's the answer to forlorn women's desperate plea to look like younger Italians... Either way the people at Nescafé must have thought this was the way forward. At least they're honest about it, it clearly says so on the box, in pink capital letters... Thirsty much?

The Nutra-Resveratrol anti-ageing water. In a nice pink bottle just how a woman likes it...

Other such drinks have been appearing on the market, anti-ageing or anti-cellulite flavoured water... No doubt packed with chemicals we're more than happy to spread on our face but not so sure about putting inside our bodies; really, what is the point of being such picky eaters and insist on going organic to then ingest all sorts of things? Since when does coffee have to be 3 in 1 to be desirable, can't it just satisfy our caffeine needs and stick with that?

So we'll carry on drinking the regular, non-rejuvenating kind that will no doubt end up making us look like Snow White's Evil Queen post-transformation and settle for ageing gracefully.
