The disco dancer's pedicure

Posted Dec 9, 2008

For some the Christmas season brings with it hours of dancing - for others it's passion, and for the sad few, it's home alone. Whatever your Yuletide holds - The "Stiletto" - "Men Only" and "Cryo Feeling" Parisian pedicures may ease the seasonal pain.

The Mell spa and boutique is a new concept from Parisians Philippe Melloul and journalist Pascale Renaux.

Their concept works a bit like this - if your feet are weary after a day's shopping you can relax, take a load off, and enjoy a Mell pedicure. Once your brain has wiped out the pain of shopping, (we believe in this sense the mind works in a way similar to childbirth in that it wipes the entire experience from one's mind the following day ensuring the experience is repeated again...and again), but back to shoes - you can then start allover again by trying on the shoes in the adjoining boutique.

Pedicures on offer include "Beauty Foot", "Men Only", "Cryo Feeling", "Stiletto", "Ballerina", and "Sunshine Glow". Obviously we'd opt for the "Ballerina" pedicure in our dreams but sadly keeping it real, we'll end up opting for, "Cryo Feeling" with the obligatory Last Christmas soundtrack.

Mell is located on 8, Rue Royale, Paris.
