Tempt your Six Senses

Posted May 28, 2009

We normally try and avoid strict health regimes but when they’re as luxurious as 5 nights at the Six Senses destination spa on Naka island, off the coast of Phuket we’re the first people to put our hands up.

On arrival, wellness specialists assign you a personalised programme that includes delightfully un-taxing spa treatments. Then, as part of the holistic diagnosis an on-site iridologist examines your eyes to see how you can be healed and cleansed of toxins.

Lounge by their infinity pools in the morning after a spot of relaxing yoga followed by a raw food or ‘fisheterian’ lunch.

All food is cooked at a maximum temperature of 42 degrees celsius to preserve maximum nutritional content but if you’re feeling peckish between meals, step out your private pool villa and graze on the foliage in the hotel grounds – they’ve got edible landscaping!
