Earth Day 2010: Love The Planet loves you!

Today, we have to celebrate the soil we walk on, the air we breathe, the food we eat, basically anything that keeps us alive. Of course we have read a lot recently about eco-friendly clothing, energy, packaging; we have received many emails, so many that my inbox almost turned green…
The best way for us to approach this special day in the calendar and make it really meaningful was to find one good resolution that we would follow (not like the ones you shout about on New Year’s Eve). So we thought about something that we do everyday and that could turn out to be a “good” action. One email caught our attention, it was introducing The Love The Planet skincare line, the subject: “Save your skin, some space and the planet”, perfect!
What is Love The Planet?
No, it is not just another skincare line on the shelf.
Laura McComiskie is one of those people that transform their ideas into actions. Her “eureka” moment happened while she was removing her eye make –up and wasting far too many cotton pads: “It suddenly occurred to me that I was getting through six or seven cotton wool pads every time I took my make up off – which was really wasteful”, The Love The Planet Washable cleansing Pads were born. They are made of ultra-fine cotton towelling, that you use, pop in the washing machine, and re-use over and over; a "greeny " beauty habit that makes a huge difference. Beyond this eco friendly business there is the story of a woman who simply cares about what is surrounding her… and so do we!
