The SS92 Collection: a Dolce Storia

Some
megawatts of mega talent in the names of Domenico Dolce & Stefano Gabbana
but not only as the young and the beautiful ones were there: Linda Evangelista,
Naomi Campbell, Carla Bruni, to name a few. A superb mix that could only
announce a memorable womenswear
show.
Fellini
in the backdrop and in the mind of anyone who sat on the front row and who saw
Cindy Crawford in a black corset with matching suspenders. An underwear
collection? No, but an-ber sexy outerwear one that claimed femininity and
voluptousness when times were about austerity. Success is bright and as proven
by the creative duo no matter the economic situation or the general mood, it is
up to oneself to express its view and to see the
sunshine.
There
were some references to the South of Italy, Napoli and a nod to Sophia Loren.
Sophia the epitome of Italian sixties glamour that for sure will never go out of
fashion. Some curves have been erased since 1992 on the catwalks but a real
Dolce&Gabbana woman is still soft, tender and sensual. From the runway to
the spotlight, it is all about the size zero ++. Corsets to follow and reveal
bodylines, strong makeup to underline the eyes, sixties' style curly brushed
hair, got the full picture? Out from the archives these shot memories should
inspire you now, tomorrow and the day after tomorrow to live your very own Dolce
Vita.
