Fenn, casting in Twin Peaks was the pick for a hot sensual Steven Meisel
campaign shot surrounded by leopard props. Animal prints were all over. Long
satin gloves paired with leo bodysuits for a fifties cabaret atmosphere, in a
word Dolce&Gabbana opened the doors of their very own boudoir and revealed
their love for beads and embroideries; their women are precious so are their
creations.From
the define Hollywood cinema poses to the accessories, fur scarves or feather
hats, the whole looks were a nod to the past pin-ups era when Marilyn Monroe or
Ava Gardner were enlightening screens. If anything diamonds are still girls’
best friends. Synonym of glamour, pearls and chunky stone jewellery became
Domenico and Stefano’s “incourtournables” to dress Lycra bodies covered with
leopard fur
coats.
A
pin-up is all about curves. Femininity goes with round soft lines and plays with
volume to underline graceful hips and a tiny waist. So to catch and match the
bodysuit, the creative duo worked on ball taffeta mini skirts in color to
contrast with their classic black
corset.
Selected
vibrant hues underlined roaring patterns and the whole mix was a nod to the
previous eighties decade and a preview of what was to come. Dolce&Gabbana
did not seem ready to follow strictly the minimalist trends imposed by some
American designers in the early nineties and had the conviction that their woman
still liked it
hot.

In an effort to hone in on the concept of casual luxury, Dolce&Gabbana fashioned a collection built on contrasts.
