A SS89 pole position for La Targa Florio race
The ultimate social scene to see and to be seen in the South of Italy back then that would feature the best in terms of glamour and sparkles, to be translated into refined, soft and shiny fabrics and curvy aligned cuts.

The Sicilian Dolce&Gabbana story is not made of one episode so think layers of chiffon, tightened with a corset to reveal some strong femininity.

Conical strapped tops waist-banded above full voluminous skirts. Visible “jupons” that would contrast with tube long frocks. Forget the girl, think of a woman that is ready to start the conversation with men.

A dandy attitude reinforced by looks inspired by the closet next door.
Masculine and feminine, Dolce&Gabbana did mixed it all, not to confuse but
to underline the easy bridge to be crossed between the two genders. A social
scene with a fusion and profusion of conversations made with elegance and
finesse. If the clothing speaks louder than words for sure it said high glamour
in 1989 as loud as it did in the twenties.
For the ones that were to young to experience an eighties’ nostalgic collection,
for sure this mini album is an opportunity to learn and to see one’s today
closet differently.
