London prepares for its DG set

Proving what we've known all along - shopping is more than, well shopping. So there's nothing we like more than hearing about a new retail trend that offers a boutique one minute and a club the next.
This evening and (invitation only) - London's Dolce & Gabbana boutique will be transformed into an exclusive bar for the lucky few with live music, cocktails and of course the opportunity to evesdrop on Brits about town.
Who will Little Boots make friends with? David Gandy dance with? Bets on Roisin Murphy's outfit? Will The Noisettes (www.swide.com/The-Noisettes) befriend new girl Paloma Faith (read more www.swide.comPaloma-Faith) and will Brit designers Gareth Pugh and Henry Holland get inspired by the evening's dolce vita...?

The New Hippies: from the Mid West to North Africa
The FW02 collection was a mix and match of styles, inspirations, historical periods and ethnicities. In an effort to hone in on the concept of casual luxury, Dolce&Gabbana fashioned a collection built on contrasts. North African, Hippie, Victorian and Western, were merged in a marriage of styles, fabrics and silhouettes.
