SS90 collection : Blow it up in Dolce & Gabbana

While others had decided to stick to a neutral rather classic palette, the creative duo made it clear to the fashion minimalist crowd: a woman is meant to be sexy and to adopt power dressing that diffuses sensuality.
Renowned model Verushka took on the Miss. Dolce&Gabbana role and starred as the lady who dares to wear embellished bras and stone beaded dresses.
Garments that were not only designed for the purpose of the SS90 show but would have a foreseeable future on stage. On Who? Well nonetheless than Madonna who chose her “pieces” herself while in her pop Marilyn Monroe phase challenging Hollywood glamour by adding a glam rock spin to it. A friendship story that started with a fishnet tee-shirt that the pop singer bought and worn out, which proves that 1/ the SS90 Dolce&Gabbana womenswear collection was a turning point in Stefano and Domenico’s career and 2/ that it pushed the 2 Italian designers in the game featuring big fashion names.
Recognised for their talent, no longer stamped as beginners, the collection is a romantic tale where pretty innocence is highlighted with silk chiffon floor-skimming gowns and prints inspired by Renaissance painter Raphael. A sense of lightness and fluidity to celebrate feminine grace. Like a fresco, the Italian couture house has an archive collection that should draw future inspirations; the emotions conveyed and shared keep transforming the clothing conversation adaptable for other decades, as timeless creations should always be.

In an effort to hone in on the concept of casual luxury, Dolce&Gabbana fashioned a collection built on contrasts.
