A signature style
Overridingly long and slim, chiffon dresses were dreamy and floaty, styled with large pants and printed with roses and tigers to capture the hot steamy summers of the East. Wedgwood blue was a stand-out colour and the palette for silk skirts with brocade detailing and stockings, that added a naivety to the accompanying leopard print.
As ever the designers added their signature corset construction. This time around however the bodices were ever so slightly forties inspired and enveloped in pale chiffon dresses worn with leopard two-piece underwear beneath.
“China” was a stand-out collection, not only a hit with the new young Hollywood, but also led Vogue USA to term the designers as “mix masters”.
