Thanks
to the quintessentially British fashion institution, Swide has some exclusive
shots featuring the students at work a few days before the BIG
DAY.
What
is this CSM* Jewellery BA event? A very unique show of creations made by
Jewellery BA students in their second year and split in 4 themed groups -
Nature, Glamour, Fantasy and Dark - that promise to enchant guests and to unveil
great
talents.
The
artists-to-become have worked on recycled material and are through their work
advocating ethical sourcing and
responsibility.
The
designs will be presented via an interactive catwalk, the show will be shot by
famous photographers from Vogue and Red Magazine and the make up will be done by
west-end make up artists led by Nina Van Houten. Needless to say that the
jewellery created for this event is meant to be
fashionable.

The brand’s capacity to take the artistic traditions and aesthetic of Italy and make them their own is unsurpassable and highly romantic to fashion lovers. Their idiosyncratic designs, ironic take on classic dress and the brand’s emblematic items have all contributed in making Dolce&Gabbana a household name. For this instalment of our archive lead considerations of what makes up the Dolce&Gabbana DNA we concentrate on maybe one of the strongest statement the designers have made over the years: the corset.

Whether it’s talking about his love affair with the camera, his views on what ‘ugly is’ or how he keeps himself sane, the up and coming fashion director was as natural in front of the camera as he is behind it.
The Cannes Film Festival is the epitome of European high glamour on the French Riviera. Sun, surf and…suits. Swide catches three stars who put their best foot forward in Dolce&Gabbana. Gerard Butler, Mathew McConaughey and Zac Efron got suited up to face the onslaught of press photographers that infest every event at Cannes.
