Swide Magazine by Dolce&Gabbana

Last week, Swide gave you a taster of the special collaboration between Magazine Antidote, Giampaolo Sgura and Messrs Dolce and Gabbana with an exclusive behind the scenes video. Because we like to spoil our readers, here is an exclusive preview of the fashion spread.

In June, Dolce&Gabbana styled a fashion shoot by Giampaolo Sgura featuring shoes from the Men’s S/S12 collection for French Magazine Antidote. This new member of the fashion press offers an individual take on the concept of a fashion magazine. Each issue is monothematic and compiled in a way that resembles an art-book, featuring the art of a single photographer.

Yann Weber, the magazine's editor, who was lucky enough to be at the shoot, describes the process of working with so many greats:

 “This experience was indeed a great project, we were very enthusiastic about this creative adventure and it was a big chance for the magazine to collaborate with mister Dolce & Gabbana. The idea started with a discussion with Giampaolo and faster than I could imagine we all were on the shooting set.”

Sleek brogues, sexy models reclining on a comfortable yet messy bed, silk boxer shorts or tight briefs- it could only be a collaboration between Dolce&Gabbana and Giampaolo Sgura. The shoes are taken from the S/S men’s Dolce&Gabbana collection and will be available in stores worldwide from January 2012.

Weber should be very proud of the success of his magazine, as on its second issue it has already attracted some pretty big household names.

“The magazine Antidote is still a young publication and yet, a lot of very big stars on the fashion industry put their trust in us like Géraldine Saglio from the French Vogue or Bélén Casadevall from the French Numéro and of course Giampaolo Sgura. On this shooting we worked for example with Pat McGrath, one of the most known make-up artist.”
