If you've ever contemplated upping sticks and moving to Italy, or what life may be like inside a Milanese fashion brand, take a peek at Behind The Seams - a daily blog about life working for Mr.D & Mr.G.
Off to a very important meeting with head of the style department - a very chic woman who I'd like to be when I grow up. Five minutes into the meeting it was interrupted by her cell phone - as is the case with these high powered and efficient types she answered her phone in a manner I'd love to do at least once in my life, "if it's not urgent I'll call you back" - so classy, yet reeks of power at the same time.
Turns out it was urgent - well urgent on our planet DG.
Flowers.
Seems whomever is in charge of floristry here has, how shall we put this delicately? Been "a little too enthusiatic with the ordering of flowers" - and now blooms are apparentely arriving at an alarming rate here in the office... now i think about it I had noticed you can't actually get out of a lift without being confronted by a bouquet of the finest sort but I'd just put it down to Mr.G getting excited again.
There's a rumour circulating now that we have our very own ikebana professional installed in the basement during selling periods just to handle the arrangements - now that's a job i'll be applying for once my editor finds out I've yet to write my interview questions yet again...
