The survival of fashion's fittest
The cyclamen tried to make it in our office - we gave them all the introductions they needed (UNHEARD of giving our contacts to UNKNOWNS!) - prime real estate on our Milanese desks, plus we shaded their eyes with designer blinds, and ensured they were fed & watered more than us, but sadly they weren't cut out for our daily routine.
I must admit at this time of the year - I too feel like crawling on a window ledge and going to sleep forever - but despite it being ONLY TWO WEEKS to my Christmas holidays (wwwwaaauuuuhhhh) the world's press are as we speak being flown in for this evening's very secret launch.
We've obviously yet to tell the boss/es about the cyclamen's death - if their arrival caused power struggles (read what happened at www.swide.com/Behind-The-Seams/Flower-power), I dread to think what might happen regarding their death. Anyway - their premature absence has for once given us a credible excuse as to why the entire office is dressed in black.
Yes, so the big launch is tonight - can't say anything else at the moment, and not entirely sure I'll be able to tomorrow either - not as you may be thinking because of my tendency to over-indulge in the bubbly stuff, no, it's rumoured we'll be signing confidentiality agreements on entry - my friends, the true hallmark of an A-list party.
The dress code by the way is black.
