The Dark (bath) Room
So there I was of all places at a kidswear presentation. Professionally speaking it's an opportunity to see the brand new kidswear collection (very nice, well done tutti), honestly speaking however it's when all the single girls in the office sit really nervously in their seats fidgeting about the foreseeable future. You think backstage pre-fashion show is taught with tension? Try front row at a kidswear presentation.
Anyway needing a little air with all the kids running around, off I popped to the loo in the very swanky D&G HQ building - my first visit to the office, and thanks to the very helpful receptionist, I had my pick of bathrooms over 3 floors. Off I wandered only to walk into the first bathroom and another world - one that appeared to be a high-end, five-star hotel after 9pm. The effect was truly amazing. The office and the presentation seemed miles away and I'm now in desperate need to have tone installed in my own apartamento.
After I had reapplied my lippy, and spent half an hour checking the crackberry (i needed the peace and quiet), my eyes must have lost their sense of light however, because as I went for the door, I struggled to actually locate it amongst the black tiles. I blame it on a lack of cocktails having never suffered the same problem in any previous five-star design hotel. When I finally re-emerged blinking into the daylight - it was lunchtime and all the children had vanished. Magic, that.
