The Christmas gifts arrive
So they we were - tip taping away on our computers when I noticed a rush out of the office only usually seen when the magical words, "sample sale - fashion show - David Gandy - A-lister in the office" are skyped. Inevitably late for yet another deadline I ignored the rush until I heard screams and decided I really had to see what was going on.
Turns out - the Christmas presents had arrived.
Every year we get an uber exclusive, only available to DG employees ONE-OFF T-shirt complete with handwritten card. The delivery is shrouded in secrecy and security - not only do they arrive with three personnel but documents are involved...
The problems however start with the colour variations. A office packed with fashionistas is never going to be easy to satisfy - and this season's hot colours purple, marl grey and red had inevitably been snapped up before I even left my desk. Despite using my best elbowing tactics, I arrived at "destination size 40" with the only remaining choice - brown (as a brunette this so not works). The amusing thing was that destination (size) 42 and 44 were still completely full as size envy hit the office.
Inevitably those that got their hands on the best colours spared no shame in immediately modelling their hot finds - Christmas goodwill seems not to have hit the office as yet - apart from in the shape of Mr.G's presents obviously...
