That last season feeling

No matter how much I budget - which in my world means swapping champagne for Proseco during November, I never quite make it to Christmas in the black. There is always something very boring about spending Christmas in the minus figures - and I'm not talking about the temperature. The irony is that I have a wardrobe full of cruise clothes and no cruise - easy to wear separates for helicopter rides, and cute dresses are hanging ever so forlorn in my wardrobe - looking as pathetic as my current credit rating.
And it's not just me - I've noticed at recent aperitivo's (after work drinks Italian style with free food) a direct link. The more stylish a person looks, the more they appear to eat during aperitivo's and then dash off - refusing dinner. I know where they're heading and it ain't to a five-star restaurant. Anyway - short of sounding like Britney Spears bleating about her Groundhog day life - at least something conveniently happened to make me appreciate money and beauty don't guarantee everlasting exposure and to pull me out of my cash flow depression...mid phone-call to the bank, I happened to see Miss "pay me in Euros not dollars" Gisele being carted off in the lift to make way for next season's model...but who my friends, will be next????? I intend to find out asap!!
