Spot the coffee machine

Posted May 27, 2009

We all know that black is worshipped on planet fashion and needless to say in DG land the same is true. All very well, but when you're desperate for a coffee and it takes 20 mins to find a machine, who's chic now?

There's nothing the office needs more right now post-Cannes is a constant IV drip of caffeine. With one machine already emptied - off I went in search of the last remaining coffee source - as I said it was a long weekend.

Reliably informed there was a coffee machine on the third floor off I popped only to spend twenty minutes wandering aimlessly along blackened corridors - and this is not believe me what you want to do in this building where Mr.G/a random celeb may pop out at any moment. In a final fit of desperation, I resorted to calling a colleague to ask EXACTLY where on the third floor the bloody coffee machine is located.

The clever response, "it's located behind a black door" needless to say didn't help much and in desperation I was forced to walk randomly pushing the black walls the corridors like a mad person to see if any of them were in fact the hidden door to the ‘coffee shop’.

The madness you'll be pleased to know did pay off and like magic, a black wall made way for a coffee machine. The fact a phone was strangely placed next to a coffee machine however made me think I wasn’t the first person to get lost en-route to the coffee machine – nor will I be the last.
