Size is everything
Back to school with a new bag and and an office with a noticeably large number of new hair-cuts. Seems families and relatives were overlooked this festive visit in the rush to see ...the hairdresser. After lots of kissing (pecks on the cheeks of course, tongues have been put away until the next office party!) and Buon anno's to evvveeerrrryooonnneee - I managed to turn on my computer at the early hour of 11:30am, not without however forgetting my password.
If you ever want to delve into a person's state of mind - simply ask them their computer password. It would appear my state of mind wasn't in the best of places in December - I had the humiliation of our tech guy revealing my password was infact DIE A SLOW DEATH. Not sure who that was directed at - but I intend to make a SS09 resolution to ensure my passwords remain in a more user-friendly tone.
At 11.42am - my computer finally usable, I then watched in horror (and this rarely happens I assure you - the reaction not the inbox) as a rather bulging packet revealed its 292 messages. Do people not have a holiday???? In a Zoolander-esque moment I reminded myself I had in fact only been away for ten days and not six months and was not saving lives/running the country/working in gas, oil, nuclear power (imagine!)???? Die a slow death sprung to mind ever so quickly - and we're only on day one.
