The Shoes guest list @ Milan Fashion Week

Minimalism is supposed to dominate this fall but at the end the feet of the fashionistas decided that NO. SS11 is about bold colours, shiny prints and seventies reminders; so should the lower end of the guest bodies be to attend the shows. A mood for shoes that said “it is still sunny” to answer back some grumpy feet that had to hide as from the 21st of September, summer is over.
If only one trend on the Milan streetwalks, it would be story telling shoes. Everything was acceptable and wearable as long as it made a conversation. Anything plain, dull, boring was out. Be quiet is so last year.
And gods created the shoe kit: it is versatile, it is funny and it is for those
who have a serious fashion job but do not take themselves seriously.
A show-shoe story. Some feet could not wait any longer in the queue, heels to high. Some were almost bursting out of the peep-toe hole, please wear your size! Some others were socked in bold red sandals… A pedicure missed or a real style statement?
For those who were sharing their waiting time thoughts, they were probably
talking about their New York & London fashion week recent memories, as
usually like the owners, a pair of good on duty shoes get to run the whole
fashion week
marathon.
