Olympic challenge
How to pack for the Olympics? Yes, despite the many offers of yachts in Sardinia, Saint Tropez and Portofino I have decided to see something of the world and am heading off to Beijing to attend the opening ceremony of the Olympic games and wave my flag for the Brits.
Now, as you may have gathered I am not what you would consider a sports fanatic so have taken to googling large stadiums to identify a possible dress code. Beige shorts, polo shirts and an overall "corporate America" look appears to be the norm and, as you would imagine not a combo that exists in my wardrobe or would be allowed. I call the press office in the hope someone is remaining and leave a message asking if I can lend some samples of the gym line - will try and perfect the gym bunny/toned/athletic look if only for appearances.
Wonder if Carla is accompanying Sarkozy to the games? What would she wear??
100% certain the press office are being fabulous and sipping cocktails in luxe resorts around the world right now while I'm still pressing "send" on my worn-out crackberry. My last hope has seemingly left the building with everyone else... now I'm senza outfit and realize when the press office returns they'll have the misfortune of having to sit through my very sad (rambling) desperate message...I'll never get backstage access at this rate.
