My Victoria Beckham impression
Last night it was off rather randomly to a football match. Assuming of course the experience would be as I’d seen via various low-end magazines, I upped the glamour factor and prepared myself for what I assumed would be a night of pushing, shoving, bad behaviour and general rudeness with a glass of champagne thrown in for good measure.
How little did I know. As a veteran of seating various VIPs and fashion press during catwalk shows I actually discovered there a lot more courtesy that goes on during the seating of a football match. Before we go on, yes, I’ll admit I think I had a good seat - I could literally see the hairs on the footballers legs (compliments boys) and touch Mourinho's double-faced navy cashmere (an expensive handbag and the stalls don’t work) – but what I wasn’t expecting at all was the fact people sat down respecting each others tickets, didn’t trample on anybody’s toes in expensive heels, didn’t moan despite the fact it was about minus 20 degrees. Possibly the only thing in common with a catwalk show was the food. The only available snack appeared to be weirdly popcorn - what of course the the average fashionista tends to live on pre-fashion week in order to maintain those killer cheekbones.
Is there a footballer’s wife in the making I ask myself??
