Milan v Juventus Dolce & Gabbana style

Posted May 11, 2009

Sunday night, and as the rest of the world had their feet up watching a DVD, in DG land it was VIP night at Milan's San Siro Football Stadium. Swide takes a peek inside the VIP room.

Inside the Dolce & Gabbana Lounge VIP Room (yes such as thing exists) guests gathered for the season's big match "Milan-Juventus" (result: 1-1). Swide.com sneaked in, to see exactly what happens when the world of fashion meets the world of sport.

Guests were welcomed in the VIP roon by glasses of wine, spumante, delicious appetizers (we'd like to mention the incredible salt croissant with zucchini and brie-cheese cream and the amazing mini-bagels with italian ham), whilst the lounge room came complete with sofas and Sicilian mini-cakes.  Displayed on the room's TV screens were a unique mix of Dolce & Gabbana runway show videos alternating with live footage from the match. Whoever who was there to actually watch the match could take their place on the terrace and see Beckham, Del Piero, Kakà, Ronaldinho at arm's length.

Arriving a few minutes before the match's start was Victoria Beckham arm-in-arm with designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana. Singer Eros Ramazzotti was already snacking with daughter Aurora whilst Principal Dancer Roberto Bolle chatted with photographer Giampaolo Sgura. Up-coming face Israeli actress Moran Atias (coming soon in TV series "Crash", based on the original academy award winning movie) chatted with her new gay friends (who she partied with the night before, as the local Milan rumour mill reported) as Prima Ballerina Eleonora Abbagnato tip-toed in a few minutes late to give Domenico and Stefano a big hug.

Despite the fact the fashion world actually appeared to be following the match and supporting Milan (Ramazzotti was the exception rooting for Juve), Swide.com overheard Victoria and Anna Dello Russo (Vogue Japan's Fashion Editor) discussing next season's cork platforms with Stefano Gabbana as Milan's David Beckham was tackled by Juve's Amauri.

Victoria Beckham was charming with everybody and appeared to be having fun until Swide.com decided to take her picture: Enough! The eyes say it all.

Stefano Gabbana (left) remained by Victoria's side for the entire match, celebrating both Milan's and Juve's goal ( diplomatic behaviour at its best). Domenico Dolce (right), as more of an enthusiastic football fan, exploded with an excited scream at Seedorf's goal (for Milan), defeated only moments later by Eros Ramazzotti's celebratory shouts for Juve's goal.

Swide.com heard what they were talking about.

Nothing to report.

Despite the evening being hosted by Dolce & Gabbana and Milan - joining the guests was Italian singer songwriter and  Juventus supporter Eros Ramazzotti.  Dare we admit Swide did the same ;-)
