Kelly Rowland and my breakfast please

Posted Feb 17, 2009

Whole the rest of the world sips their coffee on a Monday morning at 9:30am, in Dolce & Gabbana-Land we're summoned for A-List interviews.

Monday mornings are for Facebook, coffee, gossip, and flipping through the weekend's papers. They are for low-key outfits, occasional bad-hair days and non-existent manicures. Yes - perhaps, but sadly not on planet DG.

There I was sipping or rather about to sip my first much needed mouthful of coffee when in walked my colleague frantically talking into her mobile whilst staring at my intently. I knew immediately this meant either I was in trouble and had made a gaff again or that there was an A-Lister in the building. Turns out it was an A-Lister - Kelly Rowland.

Without so much of an opportunity for a swipe of lip-gloss I had to run upstairs and prepare to interview Ms Rowland all in the space of ten minutes. THANK-GOD I'd not indulged in too much vino rosso last night and Kelly Rowland is a morning person. Curled up on a black suede couch in shades, she joked her way through my "off-the hook" questions in a manner that was quite frankly -bloody impressive for a Monday morning. In fact I think there could well be more diva-like behaviour here on a Monday morning than in an A-listers entourage.
