I deal in fashion diaries

Posted Jan 12, 2009

The 2009 diaries have arrived - and the secret trading starts. If you weren't aware of the black market for these type of things - let me fill you in.

I do apologise before we go any further that today's title is ever so slightly misleading - I don't actually deal in fashion diaries, but I do know certain people who do.

Now, of course all new diaries look fresh and inviting - but then, the problem is so do other company's diaries...the saying the grass is always greener has never so apt. What tends to happen, is that "occasionally" the new diaries get "misplaced" and end up in the arms of friends/lovers/ebay. As a high-end gift idea, and worth a lot on the fashion circuit, certain sophisticated fashion professionals I know have been known to exchange diaries with their friends in a high-end version of swapsies.

I have decided to of course keep mine (even though i'll admit to giving up on a diary by Jan 15th) - I tend to find they come in VERY handy for consulting during bank manager's meetings, tricky situations at police stations, getting an upgrade at hotels, and impressing people next to you on the plane. Worth so much more that fifty quid on Ebay.
