Fashion week is literally giving me a break

Posted Feb 18, 2009

First it was a swollen ankle and now it's a broken toe. I'm officially a cliché.

When I sit down to write these things - I tend to find myself blushing at the ridiculousness of it all. As I throw my clichés around willy-nilly my inbox has been filling at an increasing rate with questions about whether I really exist at all or if I'm actually a made-up fashion cliché.

I don't actually know what is more embarrassing to admit - that I'm real or that I'm real and a living cliché? In the "realish" world I'm in right now I’d agree it's ever so slightly unbelievable at times but what's even scarier is that I'm recently finding that "art" (and my this I mean my blog of course) is increasingly mirroring real life.

Previous to writing behind the seams - I kid you not but I never once fell of my heels, fell in love with a male model or met an A-lister for breakfast - but in a weird way - all three (and so much more) has now become a reality. Take this week (and forgive me for what I’m about to write) – but en route to meet Kelly Rowland for breakfast, I was running in heels – fell and broke my toe. Now apart from a male model not being around to pick me up from the floor - I think I can quite happily say I'm XXX (identity withheld for obvious reasons) and I’m a fashion cliché.
